We teach Corvinus students the technical skills and introduce them to the people they need to start careers in investment banking, private equity, and hedge funds.

The Problem
I
No Structured Prep in CEE
University courses cover theory. Nobody in Budapest shows you how finance recruiting works, so you work it out alone.

Information Asymmetry
Most students do not know how recruiting works, when to start preparing, or which skills banks test for.
III
Inadequate Alternatives
University classes are too broad and online courses cost hundreds of euros. No student club in the region covers the gap between lectures and recruiting.
IV
Competitive Disadvantage
Students at LSE or Bocconi get structured preparation from their first year. Students in Central and Eastern Europe start later and spend their final year catching up.

How We Work
Two years, from accounting basics to LBO models. Each year builds on the one before.

New to finance? Start here. You learn how finance careers work, introductory accounting, Excel, and capital markets, then work through simple cases and compete in an entry-level case competition.

Year 1
Investment Banking Track
You learn to value companies, build financial models from a blank sheet, and follow an M&A deal from pitch to closing. By the end of the year you can hold your own in a technical interview.

Year 2
Advanced Finance Track
You pick a specialization: private equity, hedge funds, or quantitative finance. Then you do the work analysts at those firms do: LBO models, investment memos, portfolio construction.

Tracks
Four specializations, one per career path. Pick the one you want to end up in.
01
Investment Banking
Build financial models, value companies, and put together pitchbooks. You cover what IB analysts do every day: DCF, comparable companies, M&A process, deal execution.

Private Equity
Deal-side finance. You build LBO models, learn how PE firms screen and structure investments, run due diligence exercises, and write investment committee memos in the format funds use.

Hedge Fund / Public Markets
Public markets. You learn equity research, write investment theses, and build portfolio strategies.

Quantitative Finance
Data-driven analysis, systematic strategies, and the mathematics behind them. For people who prefer code and statistics to pitchbooks.

How to Get In

HFC Diploma
Finish the program and you receive the HFC Diploma. It certifies that you attended, completed the coursework, and delivered a final project.
Participate
Attend the sessions throughout the program
Complete
Finish all assigned projects and coursework
Deliver
A final project of your choice: valuation, thesis, model, or deal analysis
After graduation, you become an HFC alumnus and stay part of the network.
